Thermo Fisher Scientific LATAM are looking for a Key Account Manager based in Bogotá to Drive the clinical business in Genetic Science Division into Reference Labs -Clinical/Diagnostic environments including both Instruments and consumables.
The role holder will be responsible for develop the clinical market, implementing sales strategy and tactics for related product lines and applications to achieve sales figures in line with the Company’s strategy and growth initiatives within the Central America Region. Therefore, the ability to think critically and plan optimally are key skills required.
Responsibilities include crafting, implementing, tracking, and reporting performances of the sales plan, targets, and forecasts. Drive our clinical solutions by working with marketing and global business units. Partner with our channels in the region and direct sales teams in Colombia to identify and develop potential leads.

Build pipeline of opp to support reaching AOP for Brasil in clinical segmentDrive business expansion in collaboration with Support, Sales, and Market DevelopmentDrive adoption of our NPIs and continuous technical knowledgeWork together with local sales colleagues to ensure all possible actions are done to secure business in driven situationsSet up and undertake sophisticated sales, anticipate pipeline changes, and has plans in place to address shortfallsAdvise the growth of business by gaining new accounts/businessIdentify and nurture Key Opinion LeadersBuild relationships with customers to promote penetration, retention and dedicationGenerate, qualify and close sales leadsProvide Technical & Sales TrainingPrioritize projects and resourcesIdentify competitor activities and develop tactical activitiesParticipates in process and operation improvement opportunitiesResponds to internal and external inquiriesAligns with Company quality management systems, policies & proceduresQualification:Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or EngineeringProven experience in sales and account management within Genetic Science, handling molecular biology techniques (qPCR, CE)Min 3 years sales experience in life scienceStrong interpersonal and relationship development skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong trade and presentation skillsAbility to establish short & long-term business objectivesProficient in English - written and spoken skillsTravel availability: 50%Driver´s licenceSalesForce, MS Office knowledgeBehavioral skills:Ability to lead and interact optimally at different levels of an organizationAble to handle confidential and proprietary informationMust possess self-motivation, passion, a positive attitudeThermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
