KEY ACCOUNTS MANAGER (Durban)

As the Independent Workshops (IWS) Specialist for Castrol, you will play a crucial role in partnering with Castrol distributors and the Castrol Distributor Business Manager to identify and sign on new Independent Workshops as exclusive Castrol partners. This role requires a dynamic individual with a keen understanding of the automotive industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage various aspects of workshop engagement, including contract negotiation, site inspections, workshop revamp activities, and performance tracking.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

IDENTIFICATION AND ONBOARDING: Work closely with Castrol distributors and Distributor Business Manager to identify potential Independent Workshops (IWS) for Castrol partnership. Lead the onboarding process, ensuring alignment with Castrol's standards and exclusivity requirements. CONTRACT AND PRICE NEGOTIATION: Collaborate with your respective Distributors and Distributor Business Manager to finalize and formalize agreements. SITE INSPECTIONS AND REVAMP ACTIVITIES: Conduct site inspections to assess the workshop's suitability for Castrol partnership. Oversee workshop revamp activities where required, ranging from site re-branding to the installation of engineering equipment, to meet Castrol's standards linked the volume tier approved. PERFORMANCE TRACKING: Develop and implement systems/process to track workshop performance against agreed volume and quality metrics as set out in the agreed contract terms. Analyse performance data and collaborate with workshops to address any deviations from agreed-upon targets. TRAINING FACILITATION: Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for workshop staff on Castrol products, services, and industry best practices. Ensure that workshops are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to represent the Castrol brand effectively. ROLLOUT TARGETS: Establish and achieve annual targets for the rollout of new Independent Workshops as exclusive Castrol partners. Develop strategic plans to maximize workshop partnerships and market penetration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 2 years of experience in business development, preferably in the automotive industry. Proven track record in contract negotiation, site inspections, and workshop management. Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket and workshop operations.
