Pay Range:
The main function of the KidSpace Attendant is to provide short-term supervision to the children of members and program participants through engaging activities and programming. The Part time Child Care worker will work with other teachers and/or assistant teachers to carry out the learning experiences that help in the holistic development (spiritual, intellectual & emotional, etc.) of children.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of experience working with youth of preschool, elementary or middle school age. At least one-year experience working with children in artistic, and/or recreational activities or programs.

Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times.Being alert for the needs of the children as individuals and as a group.Assist in way possible, which may include, but not necessarily limited to:Planning activities for assigned classrooms.
Implement daily program for assigned classroom.
Decorate the room with bulletin boards, pictures and children's artwork.
Prepare snack and sit with them while they eat.
Keep classroom and storage rooms neat and orderly.
Be familiar with and comply with all Family Care Center policies.Be familiar and follow all MA State day care regulations.Conform to meet Massachusetts State day care regulations as it pertains to teacher in-service training.Attend regular staff and evaluation meetings.Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline Qualifications Less than high school education; no prior experience or training.Strong communication and time management skills.CDA certificateKeep all areas where participants are located in an organized and clean
Ensure participants safety.
Assist children with self-care (assisting children in the restrooms) as needed.
Lead children through interactive and engaging activities during drop-in open programming and structured activities.Assist with planning activities and programs for the KidSpace program.
