Kiln Operator Lead Person - Holden, LA

The Holden, LA lumber manufacturing facility is looking for skilled Continuous Drying Kiln Lead Person. This position offers a $1,000.00 sign on bonus.

Key Functions:

Ensure that all Weyerhaeuser safety principles are being adhered to within the millMust role model safety and promote use of all safety program activities (RADAR , safety coaching, incident investigation, safety audits, safety observation, etc.)Assist/Conduct safety/training meetings and ensure that quality pre-shift safety meetings are held.Actively lead and develop the kiln team to ensure effective communication across between shifts and with the production teams utilizing phone calls, text messages, email and radio communications.Provide operator training in the areas of Operator Driven Reliability and the use of Basic CaresRelieve all workstations within the department and perform at production expectationCoordinate and resolve problems to maintain the flow of product and help where needed.Perform quality control checks and works with appropriate persons to make necessary adjustments.Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment,Troubleshoot problems independently and/or in a group settingProvide leadership within the work team by holding self and team members accountable to job expectations in the role by demonstrating our People PrinciplesBuild and maintain positive team relationships with team membersSuccessfully train others in the operation of equipment in the department.Assist in maintaining housekeeping standards.
