Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace As a Plant Engineering Co-op at Kingsford Mfg., you will play a crucial role in supporting our facility’s engineering activities. Working on-site, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to real-world projects. This position is ideal for a motivated junior or senior pursuing a technical degree, eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in a process and manufacturing environment. Relocation and housing assistance is not available for this role. **In this role, you will:** + Gain valuable experience in our Kingsford Manufacturing facility in Belle, Missouri. + Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end manufacture of charcoal at the largest charcoal producing plant in the world. + Participate in chemical processing of wood into char, manufacturing of charcoal briquettes, and packaging operations. + Engage in capital project management, ensuring successful project execution. + Contribute to world-class operations, process engineering, electrical engineering, and packaging engineering. + Learn from a Senior Plant Engineering mentor, further developing industry experience through exposure, training, and hands-on support for plant engineering capital projects and process improvements. + Manage engineering consultants, supervise contractors, and interface with plant maintenance and operations. + Collaborate both as an individual and as part of a team, delivering consumer products process manufacturing systems to the plant floor. + Interface with business and technical stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. **Activities and Experiences (examples):** **Project Support:** + Execute assigned projects and assist Plant Engineers with existing initiatives. + Collaborate with production teams to develop project scopes. + Manage project budgets and contract awards. + Conduct process safety reviews. + Handle project accounting and capitalization. **Process Improvement:** + Identify opportunities for improvement working with plant employees + Develop project plan to implement the improvement **Automation and Digitization:** + Identify and implement technologies to automate or digitize plant paperwork. + Update plant layout and utility drawings by taking field measurements. **What we look for:** + **Project Leadership:** Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering projects. + **Collaborative Problem-Solving:** Work effectively in a team environment to solve complex challenges. + **Field Work:** Comfortable working outdoors in an industrial environment with minimal supervision. + **AutoCAD Proficiency:** Strong skills in AutoCAD for layout development and documentation. + Completion of sophomore curriculum in engineering or science. **What we look for:** **Minimum Education Level/Degree:** + Currently enrolled in a 4-year related degree program at a University with Junior/Senior class standing + Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering + Eligible to work in the US for any employer with need for current or future sponsorship **We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences.
