As the Financial Analyst, you are supporting the Region VP Americas in the development and implementation of the annual budget, the monthly forecasts, the strategic plan, and the analysis & reporting of monthly operating results. This role, reporting to the FP&A Manager of Kipling Americas you will partner closely the DTC business department managers to monitor the budget and analyze monthly results. In addition, you will provide analytical support to business partners to help drive Kipling Americas operating performance. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. + Partner with the regional brand teams to facilitate the ongoing communication and understanding of the financial performance of the brand. + Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking + Solicit and accumulate data from across the various regional operations + Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support + Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews + Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements + Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting + Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts + Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization + Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials + Support the Manager, Kipling FP&A on ad-hoc group initiatives for the Americas region + Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards + Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools + Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data query/data management tools. **What do you need to succeed?** We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience and professional achievements. The foundation skills you will need in this position are: + A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the FP&A function at a multinational company, preferably in the retail or consumer related industries. Experience with DTC business model a plus + Ability to interpret financial statements, analyze results, and identify key issues. + Knowledge and experience in financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong financial modeling skills. + Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way. + Team player with strong interpersonal skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and familiarity with data query/data management tools. + Experience with ERP systems (i.e. JDE & Island Pacific) and financial reporting tools (i.e. BPC) **What do we offer you?** At Kipling, we know you expect as much from us as we do from you.
