What will you do in this job? Assist manager in training and investing in kitchen team’s learning and growthAssist manager with ordering, inventory, etc. as neededReport as Manager on Duty on days where manager is off workMaintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen stationsMaintain state and federal food safety standardsHelp lead team in preparation of daily staff lunches for all Glacier Raft Company Departments Facilitate kitchen team in preparing and packing food and hard gear for full day rafting tripsFacilitate kitchen team in preparing and packing box lunches for full day fishing tripsPrepare, pack, and serve Riverside Dinners to guests and facilitate team in doing the same.Monitor upcoming trip schedule when manager is out of office to ensure food is prepped and readyCoordinate with Manager on all food related overnight rafting trip logistics.Pack and prepare all food and kitchen-related hard gear for overnight tripsAct as a liaison between the Kitchen Staff and the Kitchen ManagerAct as a liaison between the kitchen staff and the raft trip leaders and their supervisors.Assist as needed with food support for special events, meetings, conferences, and banquetsOffers assistance to guests and teammates where neededBe a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties What skills and experience do you need for this job? Previous raft kitchen, food service and/or catering experience preferredValid driver’s licenseWork-ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key.Be willing and able to work solo or as part of a teamBe committed to Safety First and the highest quality of cleaning & sanitizing standardsBe organized with a great eye for detailBe kind to others and always bring your bestBe a good communicator, always suggesting ideas and solutionsBe helpful and friendly, willing to go the extra mileBe relaxed, flexible and able to handle a few curve ballsBe ready to have fun! Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) as required
