Overview A kitchen mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting kitchen equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees. Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and alcohol service. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the repair, maintenance, and installation of all air conditioning, heating and refrigeration systems throughout the complex. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of air handlers, exhaust and supply fans, and their appurtenant equipment. Performs other service work as directed. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required. Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, and diagrams and drawings. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. High School Vocational Training or Equivalent preferred. Two (2) years experience as a kitchen mechanic. Familiarity with the repair, maintenance and installation of all kitchen cooking and food preparation equipment found in a commercial kitchen.
