This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview We are looking for a leader and someone passionate about the culinary arts to join our Culinary team as a Kitchen Supervisor. This individual must have extensive experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen and be a college graduate in the culinary arts. This individual must be creative, motivated, and a passionate hands-on leader in the kitchen! Successful candidates for this role will have a proven track record of work with creative menus which reflect seasonal availability based on the concept of the restaurant, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, and enjoys being a teacher of the culinary arts supporting their team both personally and professionally. The Kitchen Supervisor will assist with planning and execution of the daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for the hotel in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations and achieves profitable competitive quality products. Monitor, direct, and provide feedback on employee performance, including but not limited to, meeting expectations and property standards. 2. Monitor employee’s time according to schedule. Supervise breaks, meal periods, clock-in / out. 3. Train, develop and maintain employees’ skills and relations. 4. Maintain and set training materials in all HOH stations. 5. Monitor production and quality levels of all food products; find ways to decrease wait times for meals from kitchen to dining service. 6. Monitor incoming food products to ensure quality. 7. Monitor all refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation. 8. Develop and maintain ongoing education programs and cleaning routine procedures to ensure sanitation and safety requirements are met. 9. Checks daily production sheets and checks with Sous Chef and / or Executive Chef as to daily work needs. 10. Ensures all equipment (ovens, grills, flat top, refrigerators) is in proper working condition. Reports equipment maintenance repair needs to Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or F&B Director. 11. Manages and communicates kitchen administration duties to include but not limited to end of day manager reports, daily specials, adjustments, and removed items before each meal period. 12. May work with management to develop new recipes and menu items. 13. Assist in any area of the kitchen as needed. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $21.00/Hr. - $26.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
