Cambria Hotel Nashville Downtown boasts 255 guest rooms and 4055 sq. ft. of event space. Overview We are looking for a leader who is passionate about culinary arts to join our team as a Kitchen Supervisor. This individual must have extensive experience working in a high-volume professional kitchen. This role requires creativity, motivation, and passionate hands-on leadership in the kitchen. The Kitchen Supervisor must display professionalism while communicating with all guests and staff and be of support by continuously teaching the culinary team. Successful candidates for this role will have a proven track record of working with menus that reflects the experience acquired based on the concept of the restaurant. Primary responsibilities will include assistance with planning and execution of daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for the hotel. This role will require oversight of kitchen staff, ensuring all operations are completed in a safe, sanitary work environment which conforms to all standards and regulations. Essential Functions: Assist in the creation, and implementation of (seasonal) menus and special menus. Assists in the preparation, production and service of food for restaurant, banquet, and associate functions. Complete weekly inventory and submit orders using the current par levels for outlets. Conduct daily meetings with the team to ensure their preparation, communicating all pertinent information. Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes by following recipes and chef instructions as well as product specifications. Maintain standards of sanitation and adhere to food safety regulations. Operate and maintain a variety of kitchen equipment including but not limited to choppers, mixing machines, slicers, steamers, grills, etc. Perform all other duties as deemed necessary by management. Qualifications Requirements: Able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds including stocking shelves above eye level. Attention to detail and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to bend, twist, lift and stand for the shift worked. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $22.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
