What you'll do as: Knitter

Operating knitting machinesInspecting quality standardsMaintaining clean machinesChanging needles and sinkersFulfilling ordersCheck for defects in yarn, evenness of warp tension and the quality of outputKeep machines fully creeled with yarn as assigned by supervisorClean machines and creel boxes inside and out and dust with compressed air the creeled yarn and cleans and oils machineChanges bad needles, and helping to change yarn at style change


Work Experience

The preferred candidate might:

Experience operating knitting machinesQuality control experienceMachine maintenance skillsOrder fulfillment experienceAbility to read detail calipers5 or more years experience running knitting machinesMust be able to read and verify yarns printed on knitting ticketMust be able to visually identify knitting defects in the fabricTime managementExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWalk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Must occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
