Knitting Technician
**APPLY TO START THE JOB IMMEDIATELY** **Job Title: Knitting Technician** **Job Description** The Knitting Technician is responsible for the setup, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repeatability of knitting machines, samples, and production. Ensuring that production/sample jobs are being processed according to specifications and to production standards. The Technician must maintain their equipment and machinery in good operating condition. The individual taking this position should have the abilities and drive to eventually manage the conventional department. This is a new and evolving position that we hope will continue to develop through excellent communication. The main focus of this position is in the conventional area; however, when needed, this individual will also work in other production areas at the discretion of the Fabric Formation Foreman and the Production Manager. **Responsibilities** + Set up knitting machines and ensure they are functioning properly. + Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on knitting machines. + Ensure production and sample jobs meet specifications and production standards. + Maintain equipment and machinery in good operating condition. + Assist in other production areas as needed. + Communicate effectively to ensure the development of the position and department. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical back ground. + Experience with knitting or other textile equipment. + Troubleshooting skills. + Ability to repair and maintain machinery. + Proficiency with hand tools and blueprints. + Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and schematics. + Basic understanding of HVAC and electrical systems. + Good communication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Analytical and organizational skills. + Motivation and ability to contribute to Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). + Basic computer skills (training provided). **Why Work Here?** We offer a dynamic and evolving role with opportunities for growth and development. The role involves working with various mechanical and electrical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and HVAC. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Canton, Massachusetts. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
