Job Title: Knowledge Based Engineer (KBE)
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Knowledge Based Engineer (KBE) with extensive experience in creating CAD (Catia/NX) parametric math models for automotive commodities using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques. This role involves developing, packaging, and synthesizing complex vehicle systems, as well as dictating architecture and construction techniques. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for training other engineers on modeling techniques and architecture.

ResponsibilitiesCreate CAD (Catia/NX) parametric math models for commodities using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques.Develop and package complex vehicle systems.Synthesize vehicle systems architecture and construction techniques.Create master development, packaging, and requirement sections.Define master template modeling structures.Train other Catia/NX engineers on modeling techniques and architecture.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical).5+ years of automotive product engineering experience.Extensive knowledge of Catia/NX modeling.Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation skills.Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams and participating in design reviews.Additional Skills & QualificationsSheet Metal component design experience.Experience with automotive exterior design (e.g., body systems).Experience interfacing with manufacturing plants.Work Environment

This position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in Windsor or Brampton. The company environment offers long-term opportunities with potential for growth within a global power in the automotive industry. The company is heavily investing in electric and hybrid vehicle development, with significant expansions in the Windsor area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $44.00/hr.
