Knowledge Manager
Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Knowledge Manager (XM30 Historian) to support Program Manager (PM), Program Executive Office (PEO), and Ground Combat Systems (GCS). This position will conduct analysis of and identify methods for aggregating knowledge for strategic plans through coordination with people, products, and process goal owners. The object of this project is to develop a historical library of the XM30 program (including the M2 Bradley and the Combat Recovery Systems Family of Vehicles.) This includes collecting and documenting all decisions that have been made since the inception of the program. This position is at a client site but may have an option for hybrid/remote work. Occasional travel may be required (typically under 5%). Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Develop a knowledge management framework (FW): + Create baseline Knowledge Management processes, taxonomy structures and architecture. + Use centralized and peripheral databases and records management systems. + Organize and gather data (hard copies and/or digital content), establish file structures, and ensure information is captured and stored in locations accessible to authorized users. + Scan hard copies (if needed), post, edit, distribute, and maintain appropriate content on classified and unclassified websites and portals. + Develop the technical data and content to support a visually engaging publication, covering the historical development of the XM30 Program with a concise, accurate narrative utilizing detailed captions, illustrations, etc.. This may include working and collaborating with DoD organizations who are the publishing authority for desired DoD publications. + Capture historical documentation/material pertaining to the history of the XM30 Program. + Archive in the FW, including gathering information (hard copies, digital content, etc.). + Coordinate internally for data inclusion and to ensure completeness, availability and use of the historical data/records. + Coordinate internally and externally to collect and incorporate relevant items. + Provide other subject matter expertise or operational support as needed. + Coordinate with external organizations (such as the Maneuver Center of Excellence) and collect any documentation that may be relevant to the XM30 program and archive in the FW. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** + Associate degree and 7+ years of experience with military or government knowledge management related duties, Bachelor's degree in history and 4+ years of experience with military or government knowledge management related duties, or 10+ years of experience with military or government knowledge management related duties in lieu of a degree. + Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to have an Active Secret Clearance. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Historical knowledge (think historian who knows the development/utilization timeline) of the M2 Bradley and the Combat Recovery Systems Family of Vehicles. + Associates degree and 12+ years of experience with military or government knowledge management related duties, or Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience with military or government knowledge management related duties, or 15+ years of experience with military or government knowledge management related duties in lieu of a degree.
