As a Smart Home Electro-Mechanical Engineering Co-op, you’ll serve as a critical member to Kohler’s Smart Home New Product Development team, designing leading-edge technologies and products that completely transform the Kitchen and Bathroom experiences we know today. Envision yourself as part of a team that changes lifestyles by utilizing the Internet of Things to improve people’s experiences in the bathroom and kitchen spaces Specific responsibilities include: + Researching new-to-market technologies and products in the IoT / Smart Home segment + Benchmarking performance of Smart Home industry products + Participating in idea generation and Smart Home concept development + Building prototypes of Smart Home products involving technologies such as 3D printing and Arduino / Raspberry Pi + Engineering the designs of electro-mechanical assemblies + Coordinating the testing of Smart Home designs by writing test plans, documenting learnings, and planning future iterations + Opportunity to present work in front of technical audiences **Skills/Requirements** + Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited university with a focus in electrical engineering + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an on-going basis without company sponsorship now or in the future **_Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future._** _The hourly range for this position is $30.79 - $38.49. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s education and work location.
