Job Description SummaryThe Lean KPO Leader, will act as an agent of change for process improvement and Lean implementation and practices for the Global Supply Chain Manufacturing Operations team. The Lean KPO Leader will support the leadership team in driving the lean transformation, furthering a culture focused on continuous improvement by providing lean education, training, and support to the manufacturing team in their efforts to incorporate the lean philosophy and lean tools within the current processes.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities

The KPO Leader responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work with the Global Supply Chain Manufacturing Operations leadership team to define and educate the entire Fuels workforce on a lean transformation plan, Lean concepts, and tools.Facilitate specific building teams, and cross-functional teams, kaizen activities using the GE Kaizen Playbook and the GE Kaizen facilitation process for VSM’s, Flow/Standard Work, 5s, Daily Management, Kanban, 3p, SMED, and all additional Lean processes.Prioritize, coordinate assistance, keep a visual log of projects in process, measure improvements and celebrate implementations.Promote, and facilitate, the use of the Lean Problem-Solving process.Coordinate with plant managers and supervisors to identify and schedule continuous improvement activities including facilitation of prework tasks.Manage the continuous improvement calendar for assigned shop(s).Collaborate with site KPO’s and Lean Leadership to create, and promote, a Lean culture across the nuclear business.Attend, and facilitate as necessary, Management Operating System morning meetings.Attend, and facilitate as necessary, Staff meetings including deep, lean learning topics for leaders.Other relevant duties as assignedNote:  Role will be primarily assigned on one manufacturing building.  But will be expected to support the LEAN journey across all three shops.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

OR

Associate degree with 3 years of professional experience in a technical, manufacturing, operations, or military role

OR

Highschool diploma or equivalent with 6 years of professional experience in a technical, manufacturing, operations, or military role

Minimum of 2 years of documented lean manufacturing experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

An offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screenMust be 18 years or older and have legal authorization to work in the United StatesWill work periodically in the active, manufacturing, radiation-controlled area. Must be able to wear the proper protective clothing required for controlled area work if required by the work area assignment.
