Job Summary: Senior Services developer and Kubernetes specialist responsible for maintaining containers and orchestration systems and developing software for use in those systems. Ensure high-availability through enterprise monitoring and deployment capabilities – all in support of a next generation collective training software system.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions: Ensure that enterprise Kubernetes systems are supported, patched, and optimized for both local and fielded deployments. Develop additions to the fielded training systems used by the US Army. Contribute to DevOps team in creating and modifying Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and develop enterprise deployment and execution monitoring capabilities for a next generation training system.
The codebase consists of Java, C++, Angular, and TypeScript. Orchestration uses OpenShift/OKD. Software is developed in an Agile DevOps environment.
Position is on-site at the Orlando, FL location. There is a possibility for limited travel to Company or customer-owned locations.
Required Experience/QualificationsRequired Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experienceMinimum of eight (8) years of software experience developing, integrating, and maturing capabilities of large, complex environments; including four (4) years of subject-matter expertise with Kubernetes-related suites, including OKD, K3S, and OpenShiftProven expertise with Kubernetes, containerization software such as Docker, and related toolsets Flexibility and a willingness to change directions to meet organizational needs Special Requirements/Security ClearanceThis is an onsite position at a CESI Orlando facility.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U. S. Citizenship status with ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance. Security Clearance requirements will be specified in the Government's Task Order.
