This role is probably most similar to an site reliability engineer position. While an ideal candidate will have good knowledge of things like logging and/or monitoring, we’re not looking for someone to watch a dashboard. The candidate should have a good understanding of best practices in these spaces and be comfortable sharing their expertise and challenging designs that don’t match those best practices. Our team is trying to provide our users the tooling to easily instrument their applications with logging and metrics without needing to be experts themselves. The candidate should have an engineer mindset and be comfortable with automation in all aspects of their work.
