This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of Kubernetes, Rancher, and cloud-native development. The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable solutions, mentor team members, and ensure the security and efficiency of our core services. _Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Secret clearance._ _Rate: $90 - $100 / hr. w2_ **Responsibilities:** + Design and implement solutions leveraging a Kubernetes Rancher cluster. + Configure hardware, peripherals, and services. + Manage settings and storage. + Deploy cloud-native applications. + Monitor and support a Kubernetes environment. + Troubleshoot issues. + Promote security, efficiency, and scalability of core services and capabilities. + Mentor team members on Kubernetes and Rancher operations and deployments. **Experience Requirements:** + At least 3-5+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and Docker. 8+ years’ experience without a degree. + Experience working on open-source projects. + Strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD implementation using Jenkins. + Thorough knowledge of cloud-native development. + Understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns. + Familiarity with complex event processing and event-driven architecture. Key Technical Skills: + Kubernetes + Docker + Rancher + CI/CD (Jenkins) + Cloud-native development + Microservices + Container technologies (Docker, Rancher, Tanzu, OpenShift) + Complex event processing and event-driven architecture **Education Requirements:** + Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering (or 8+ years of direct Kubernetes implementation experience and a certification in Rancher or a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)) + Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) + Certified Rancher Administrator _Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
