Job Title: Lab Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a Lab Assistant to the Microbiology department. This role involves working with human samples, primarily urine, using various laboratory techniques to support the diagnostic processes.

ResponsibilitiesPlate urine culturesSwab urine samplesScan samples into SRS for internal trackingWork with stool, urine, blood, and swabs or culturesVerify patient ID numbersSmear swabs onto plates using the streaking techniqueIncubate samplesEssential SkillsSample preparationLaboratory experienceData entryComfortable working with human samplesReliability and punctualityAbility to work with urgencyShift:Tues-Sat 7am-3:30pm- $16/hrTues-Sat 12am-8:30am-$17.50/hrAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDPrevious overnight experience (for overnight opening)Previous lab experience is preferred
