Position Information

Position Title Lab Assistant - Drafting FLSA Non-Exempt Full Time/Part Time Part Time Department Drafting & Design Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Hourly Rate $10.56 Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - Flexible as needed with no more than 19.5 hours per week. Summary of Position To assist the instructors with classes, instructional materials, and students, and to maintain labs and equipment. Minimum Required Education High School Diploma or GED, and must be or have been a student of Drafting at CTC or another similar program in a field related to the courses taught.

Must have successfully completed DFTG 1409 Basic Computer-Aided Drafting or equal. Minimum Required Experience No experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be able to demonstrate Level I proficiency with the use of AutoCAD CAD software (recent release). Must be knowledgeable of the operations of a Computer-Aided Drafting lab as well as the operations of the lab equipment. Must be able to clearly communicate this knowledge to students on a one to one basis or small groups. Must be neat in appearance and work well with others. Must be discreet in all matters.
