Key Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the procurement of blood specimens via venipuncture or skin puncture techniquePreparation of specimens for testing and processing including but not limited to receiving and accessioning specimensPerforms, interprets, and correlates clinical laboratory waived test by following policies and proceduresEnsures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to a strict quality control programPerforms instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures according to the manufactures instructionsPerforms other duties as assignedAssists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment. Requires High School diploma or GED and 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Works under immediate supervision.Assists with laboratory billingTypically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Key Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED preferred1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
