Lab Assistant Per Diem
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Posting * Acts as liaison between the laboratory and the customers served. Manages the phlebotomy front desk and performs the following duties with accuracy and precision. Accurately receives and processes all laboratory specimens routed through the laboratory fron desk and/or PCN/Outreach/Outpatient area. Ensures appropriateness of each specimen(e.g. proper collection and labeling). Rejuects a specimen not meeting acceptable collection requirements. * Acts as liaison between the laboratory and the customers served. Rejuects a specimen not meeting acceptable collection requirements. * Monitors supply inventory, identifies items to be re-ordered /replenished and notifies the supervisor of shortages. Ensures supplies are stocked within acceptable timeframe. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** * High School diploma or equivalent required * To be a graduate of an approved Phlebotomy program and/or have a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience in an acute care hospital * To have excellent customer service skills.
