Title: Laboratory Associate

Overview:
This versatile role will support the day-to-day laboratory operations that are the key to successful research and development processes. Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies.
Responsibilities: Maintain general cleanliness and safety compliance of Analytical R&D Laboratory Perform the daily calibration of pH meters, refrigerator, analytical balances and water system. Perform any testing as required by management after adequate training. Perform Analytical R&D sample login, maintain sample login logbooks and database. Scan Analytical R&D forms when analysis is complete. coordinate with warehouse department, biannually to discard controlled and non-controlled Analytical R&D samples. Monitor and order laboratory supplies (Reagents, Chemicals, Stationary, and Consumables etc) as needed to avoid any shortage. Simultaneously arrange the laboratory supplies into designated locations as they are received. Maintain an inventory of laboratory reagents, chemicals, standards and impurities. Check the expiration dates and remove the expired chemicals and dispose them periodically. Follow up with material management and supply chain departments on outstanding orders, receive orders, provide timelines for critical orders and disseminate the information to the Analytical R&D personnel. Work with document control department for storage of laboratory logbooks at the end of each year and issuance of new logbooks for the upcoming year. Maintain Analytical R&D laboratory documentation which includes but not limited to, issue of laboratory notebook and datafile, update database for laboratory notebook and datafile, storage of laboratory notebook, datafile, outside testing reports, instrument qualification documents and manuals to designated locations. Assign an ID to and maintain a database for each analytical column received in the Analytical R&D laboratory.
Requirements: Science Graduate or equivalent required. Recent laboratory and inventory control experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of quality and cGMP concepts. Understanding of laboratory science principles. Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and laboratory procedures.
