Inventory current equipment and work with instructors to order new equipment for the college. Required Qualification(s) + Experience in a media related position in a professional or Higher Education environment such as a studio manager, photographer, videographer, producer, media center staff, or instructor for one (1) to two (2) years. Summary of Essential Functions Responsibilities may include: + Create a guide for checkout policies which are consistent across all departments ( ART & DMD ). + Organize access for students: e.g. must be enrolled in a class or must go through training to access specialized course equipment. + Assist with research and implementation of lab and media equipment upgrades. + Research and identify a long-term checkout management system for media equipment. + Intake new equipment, check and test equipment, order any necessary accessories. + Check equipment each semester to make sure it is working. + Update firmware and replace missing or broken units or send gear out for repair. + Work with students when equipment is damaged and develop policies to protect students and equipment. + Be on site to answer questions students have about cameras when checking out the equipment or returning. + Lab Specialist and student workers will assist with software issues/questions when students are working in the lab. + Work within college wide policies to develop a secure and safe environment protocol for open lab classrooms and computer labs.
