Overview:

 

 

Position Title: Lab Manager/Coordinator

Business Title: Lab Coordinator

Entity: Consumer Products Services Division

Department: CPS

  Location: Boston, MA

  Reports to: General Manager

  FLSA: Non-Exempt

 

 

Hours Worked:

Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week (9am – 5pm).

However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

 

Position Summary:

The Lab Manager/Coordinator is responsible for use of ChemDraw to create skeletal structures of chemical compounds. registering chemical compounds in various systems and managing chemical inventory. This role requires a professional who can work independently and effectively manage the day-to-day operations of our laboratory

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Use ChemDraw or other chemical drawing software to create detailed chemical structures of the chemical compounds and input them into appropriate chemical registration systems, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date. Update and maintain chemical inventory systems to accurately record, track, and store all chemicals. Collaborate with research and development teams to track and support ongoing projects and experiments. Manage laboratory budgets, including purchasing reagents, supplies, and equipment. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory activities/safety and ensure adherence to these protocols. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

 

Skills & Proficiencies:

 

Familiarity with SMILEs, HELMs notations, and Mol objects. Experience with chemical inventory management and registration systems. Experience with detailed electronic notebooking Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. proficient in the use of ChemDraw highly focused on data, Must be able to work independently and effectively manage the day-to-day operations of  laboratory

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

Degree requirement: Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or related field Minimum of one (1) year of experience with chemistry and chemical registration systems.  

 

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
