Your Job:
Director Lab professional responsible for Formulates plans, organizes resources, directs personnel and develops policies in the Pathology Laboratory as directed by the Medical Director. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week line responsibility of the department and sections of the laboratory to ensure implementation of the medical/clinical programs. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System
Your Job Requirements:
• Masters Degree required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Clinical Laboratory Scientist or related area of specialty OR, Four years of related medical technology experience; OR For individuals educated outside of the United States, a translation of that education (equivalency statement obtained from a business dedicated to this service) that shows equivalence to above requirements.
• MT(ASCP), CLS(ASCP), or MT(AMT)
• Prior experience should include at least eight years of laboratory experience, with five or more years of management experience, preferably in an acute care hospital setting
• Very strong proficiency using Microsoft Office products
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Strong process orientation
• Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving
• Ability to provide vision and leadership
• Ability to plan and schedule the work of others
• Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment

• Coaches and develops the skills and talents of department employees with emphasis on the Pathology Supervisory Team. Directs the hiring, training and discharge of the department staff.
• Coordinates and directs with the Medical Director regulatory compliance of the Pathology Department with external regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Ensures with the Medical Director and acceptable quality level for all testing results in Pathology.
