Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

o\tServices provided to all internal laboratories, including the Incubator lab.

o\tCollect and transport glassware for washing.

o\tInspect glassware for chips and cracks breakage and dispose of broken or compromised glass.

o\tWash, sterilize, and autoclave glassware per customer specifications.

o\tDeliver glassware to Research and Development departments (and other lab locations upon request).

o\tPrepare clean glassware for storage. Store and periodically inventory surplus glassware.

o\tMaintain glass consumable stockroom inventories throughout the Research departments.

o\tInventory and purchase glass and consumables as needed.

o\tColor code all new glassware per lab destination.

o\tProvide special request for glassware and sterilization of various laboratory equipment or supplies per customer requirements.

o\tProvide glassware support for equipment validation.

o\tPerform other duties in support of the glass wash function, including removal, redeployment and relocation of glassware. Coordinate with EH&S to dispose (discard, recycle, re-use, donate) surplus glassware.

o\tBroken glass bins -Set up new bins in all main laboratory locations & Package and discard full broken glass bins to dumpsters.

o\tMaintain all glassware stocking locations in the labs and glasswash room clean, organized, and labeled.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

•\tAble to learn and apply new skills after appropriate training.

•\tDisplays technical skills and working familiarity with lab procedures and processes.

•\tHigh level of customer service skills.

•\tAble to lift 50lbs.

•\tHigh attention to detail.

•\tProficient at Excel Data entry.

•\tProactively communicates with Lab Services team and end-users.
