For more information visit: vantagegrp.com or LinkedIn/vantage **POSITION SUMMARY** A R&D lab assistant to help with lab tasks under supervision of the scientists. **POSITION SCOPE** This position is intended for colleague students willing to work minimally 2-3days/week in the lab. The candidate is expected to work on site in Warren, NJ, to assist scientists with the lab tasks. The tasks include, but may not limited to: + Manual filling finished goods into selected packages. The finished goods are mostly skin care and personal care products, such as face moisturizer, creams, foundation, lotions, lip products, makeups, shampoos, conditioners, etc., thus the packages could be containers, jars, tubes, bottles, pumps, etc.; + Labeling samples; + Packing and repacking samples for shipping and distribution; + Managing inventory of raw materials and packaging materials used in the lab; + Removing samples from ovens for scientists to conduct stability studies or other testing; + Moving or organizing lab items so the candidate should be physically able to lift up to 15 pounds; + calibrating lab equipment following SOPs and recording temperatures/humidity of stability chambers. + Assist scientists in the formulation of various cosmetic products, including gels, creams, lotions, serums, and more if appropriate; + Perform and document prototype formulas’ stability. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **Employee Engagement** + Builds an environment of continuous improvement and accountability within the team and continually strives to create strong employee engagement. + Consistently reinforces a strong safety culture at Warren site through leadership and awareness. **The Ideal Candidate** **Desired Background** + Education: minimally high school graduates, associate degree is a plus. + Past experiences in labs and personal care related are a plus. **Knowledge, Skills & Talents** + The candidate is expected to have a good understanding on working in a R&D lab envrionment, following lab safety and office safety requirement; + Multi-tasking, well-organized team player; + Open minded, fast to learn and good at communication; + Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Office Software; + Minimally 20 hours or 2.5 days a week, potentially flexible though.
