The Lab Manager II for Cytiva is responsible for management of our local labs and lab equipment , primarily to enable and optimize our verification and validation testing capabilities . The Lab Manag er II is responsible for coordinating equipment calibration programs and equipment procurement , managing vendors , and coordinating with internal stakeholders . Further responsib ilities are to champion laboratory orderliness (5S) and lab daily management. T he role requires building relationships across functions , maintaining open communication across departments , and willingness to work across the several local sites .
This position reports to the Global Lab Services Leader, and is part of the Upstream and Fluid Management R&D team located in Marlborough , MA and will be onsite . At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
+ Manage, control and issue test equipment inventory, l ead calibrated Equipment program and coordinate calibration services .
+ Act as liaison with Preventative Maintenance, Equipment Repair, Vendor Service s , Facilities Operations and S ite construction projects .
+ Lab organization (e.g., 5S) and d aily management owner for lab spaces .
+ Procurement and vendor management lead for lab supplies, test equipment, and 3rd party services .
+ P art of cross functional teams to support projects at global level and lead on local level, and coordinat e between R&D, PE, Facilities, O perations and Quality teams.
Who you are:
+ Associate or bachelor’s degree in an e ngineering , s cience or related t echnical field .
+ Multiple years relevant professional experience in lab -based, R& D or biomedical role.
+ Experience with managing lab operations, lab equipment and/or lab services.
+ Experience with p rocurement and /or accounts payable/ receivable .
+ Experience with vendor management and coordination.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Experience in a facilities operations or facilities services role .
+ Experience with lab budgets, capital expenses and capital equipment cost accounting .
