Job Title: Lab Pack Chemist
Job Description

The Lab Pack Chemist will handle hazardous materials including inventorying, identifying, segregating, and packaging waste material in accordance with Lab Pack policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations. The candidate will perform onsite services such as waste collection, consolidation, sampling, safety/compliance inspections, and other related activities required by the customer or contract.

ResponsibilitiesPerform onsite services which may include waste collection, consolidation (bulking, repackaging), sampling, safety/compliance inspections, and other related activities required by the customer/contract.Assist other business groups internally.Prepare shipment of packaged waste by inspecting, labeling, marking, and loading into the transport vehicle.Properly complete documentation including shipping papers, Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs), evaluations/certifications, and other required documentation in accordance with appropriate regulations and procedures.Follow, understand, and promote all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis procedures including the development of on-site Health & Safety plans as outlined in the procedures and policies.Submit Lab Packs for approval to third-party outlets.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Science.Understanding of chemistry through general chemistry or biology.Advanced knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations.Minimum one (1) year of lab pack experience (if no degree in science field).Additional Skills & QualificationsPhysical ability to lift and move materials frequently exceeding 55 lbs.Work Environment

You will be expected to be on your feet for an extended period each day and will be working in an environment dealing with water, dirt, soil, and fumes. The position operates on a 2nd Shift schedule from 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Thursday, and 11am to 7:30pm on Fridays. The company follows all safety protocols and provides the best equipment for your protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
