This position is responsible for processing patient samples and performing clinical laboratory analysis at all complexity levels for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This position also develops, maintains and directs service delivery of a major laboratory section or shift.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. Technical Consultant for Moderate Complexity testing Technical Supervisor for High Complexity Testing General Supervisor for High Complexity Testing (CLIA Title 42/ Chapter IV/ Subchapter G/ Part 493/ Subpart M)   JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

MD or DO licensed to practice (if required) in the jurisdiction where the laboratory is located with at least one year of training and/or experience in high-complexity testing*; or Doctoral degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution with at least one year of laboratory training and/or experience in high complexity testing*; or Master's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution with at least two years of laboratory training and/or experience in high complexity testing*; or Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution with at least four years of laboratory training and/or experience in high complexity testing in Microbiology.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

MLS (ASCP or equivalent) registered.
