Lab Support Assistant will support the Pathology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.This is a 24hr/week part-time benefits eligible position. This position will cover rotating days (weekday shift hours: 1:00pm- 9:30pm; weekend shift hours: 3pm-11:30pm). This position will provide coverage every 3rd weekend and holidays are required (1: summer and 1: winter).

Job Summary: Enters patient test orders and demographic information into the computer system.
Essential Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required.0-1 years related work experience required.Strong keyboard skills required that reflect speed, accuracy and attention to detail.Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.Preferred Qualifications:
Laboratory experience.Competencies:

Physical Nature of the Job:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.
