Position Overview

Core duties include Maintaining and Managing up-to-date lab inventory,  

Compounding Flavors, Working with Suppliers to collect information, Confirming Organic availability of Aroma Chemicals, Back up in various lab positions as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely handling Aroma Chemicals Maintaining and managing up-to-date lab inventory Ordering Raw Materials Accurately Compounding Flavors Obtaining documents from Suppliers on Aroma Chemicals Confirming Organic Availability of Aroma Chemicals Managing raw materials in Mc systems Ordering materials as needed Back up Shipping Samples Back up setting up Sensory evaluation panels Assisting and Maintaining sanitation and lab organization Keeping accurate lab records and data Other tasks as required

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A minimum of twelve (12) college credits/CEUs preferably in Chemistry / Biology’ Food Science.  OR in lieu of college credits, 2 years in Food manufacturing environment or lab and knowledge of food safety. Proficient computer and database skills. Professional communication skills internally with peers and externally with suppliers Proven ability to safely handle and work with aroma chemicals Proven ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment Able to work at a lab bench for 8 hrs Proven ability to follow instructions Solid math skills including the ability to work accurately with formulas, ratios, percentages, parts per million and decimals Must possess strong teamwork capabilities Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities PC skills required - Experience operating in a Windows environment, managing files and handling data. Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution. Ability to be self-directed and motivated. Ability to lift 10 pounds continuously, 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.

 

Base Salary: $20.94/hr - $31.42

 

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.  In addition to a competitive compensation package, permanent employees of McCormick are eligible for our extensive Total Rewards programs that include:
