Position Summary:

 

Assists the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the pre-analytic, and post-analytic phase of testing, following rules set by CLIA, CA Bus. And Prof. Code. Performs blood draws and functions as a backup to the Laboratory Assistant when needed.

Minimum Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

One year phlebotomy experience in a hospital laboratoryAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:

Phlebotomy experience preferredOne to two years of experience as Lab Technician preferred

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

California CPT1 CertificationBLS CardHospital Fire CardAssault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire
