Responsibilities
CLS trainee reports to the SJMC Educational Coordinator and is under the general supervision and medical direction of a CLS. The CLS trainee is a transitional training job available for up to 14 months.
In this trainee licensed position, there is no release of patient results. This position allows observation of the testing site, on-site training in the lab and didactic training in laboratory medicine. This position ends when the training year has ended and the student graduates from the training program. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the PerformanceImprovement Plan (PIP).

Bachelor in Chemical, Physical, Biological or Lab ScienceMust possess a California CLS trainee License
