Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact 
The Laboratory Technician I is an entry-level role in our Molecular Biology Team responsible for processing DNA Prep orders for internal and external customers. Laboratory Technician’s will help process DNA Prep orders, perform QC workflows, and package orders for shipment to customers.

What You’ll Do 

Restock lab supplies Ability to lift 35 poundsReaching, lifting, bendingPrepare and package orders Follow SOPs accurately and precisely Maintain the cleanliness of work area Handle chemical reagents and glasswareAbility to read small font on sample tubes Receive and sort incoming orders using established workflowsIndependently operate laboratory equipment including but not limited to pipettes, gel electrophoresis equipment including gel imager, centrifuges, autoclaves, shakers, and spectrophotometersExtended periods of time standing or sitting, operating lab computers and equipment while wearing a lab coat, safety glasses, and glovesEmployee will be working in an area with hazardous chemicalsEmployee may have to use hand tools to adjust settings on instruments as needed
