You Are:

The Lab Technician acts with guidance and support to ensure smooth operations of day-to-day transactions in a semiconductor product development lab.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Assist in implementation of 6S process in lab management.

·       Assist in all lab audits internal and external) to ensure process compliance.

·       Enable basic lab setup including host and network.

·       Perform low complexity SMD level rework.

·       Perform low complexity board setup.

·       Assist in lab staging and scrapping tasks.

·       Assist in lab inventory handling.

·       Assist in handling shipments using shipment management tool.

·       Ensure smooth operations of lab inventory day-to-day transactions.

·       Enable lab item transfer from location to location to enable lab operations.

·       Deliver daily tasks related to lab operations as per directions provided.

·       Adhere to safety guideline of lab (Chemical Electrical Fire and General Safety Guidelines).

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Set up, test, and troubleshoot computer hardware components (motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, peripherals, etc.) according to detailed instructions.

·       Assist in configuring new computer systems and devices as per provided specifications.

·       Perform basic installation and troubleshooting of operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and VMWare under supervision.

·       Connect computer systems to networks and configure IP addresses and related network settings.

·       Help assemble computer racks, manage cabling, and maintain clean and organized lab spaces.

·       Shadow senior technicians to learn startup testing, burn-in procedures, component replacement, and inventory processes.

·       Utilize Python programming to assist with automation tasks, scripting, and executing basic testing processes as needed.

·       Perform validation tasks to ensure hardware and software components function effectively in various environments.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Oregon

Compensation Range: $36,000-$54,000

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
