Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sample preparation, supporting chemists, conducting proximate, protein, fat, and moisture testing, performing extractions, and operating centrifuges. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with new instrumentation and methods in a food chemistry laboratory.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare samples for testing.Support chemists in various laboratory tasks.Conduct proximate testing, including protein, fat, and moisture analysis.Perform extractions and operate centrifuges.Ensure accurate and timely testing results by following standard operating procedures (SOPs).Essential SkillsExperience in a production environment.Strong decision-making skills.Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Experience in laboratory work and chemistry.Effective sample preparation techniques.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor in Life Science or at least 1 year of experience in a laboratory.Proven ability to apply critical thinking and follow SOPs.Work Environment

You will be working in a food chemistry lab, testing for nutritional values, contamination, and quality of goods both imported and exported. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. There is potential for schedule changes and increased flexibility based on business needs after a three-week intensive training period.
