Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description

As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various microbiology, chemistry, and sensory tests. This role requires meticulous balance works, ATP swaps, and regular line checks to ensure the highest quality of our products. You will perform pH checks, packing/label checks, quality checks, taste tests, and weight assessments.

ResponsibilitiesConduct microbiology testing including aseptic sampling and microplating.Perform chemistry and sensory testing.Execute balance works and ATP swaps.Carry out line checks every 30 minutes to 1 hour, including pH checks, packing/label checks, quality checks, taste tests, and weight assessments.Ensure everyone is following GMPs by walking the production floor and testing samples from the floor.Essential SkillsExperience in microbiology, aseptic sampling, and GMP.Proficiency in plating and laboratory techniques.Knowledge of swabbing and microplating.Laboratory technician experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.Must be open to working on weekends.Work Environment

The lab is a fast-paced, small environment located inside a dairy manufacturing plant. It is not a clean room environment and is a bit outdated. The small crew working on the 2nd shift is friendly and cooperative. You will need to walk on the production floor to ensure GMP compliance and test samples of yogurt or milk-based products. Regular hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. The company provides PPE, and the dress code requires closed-toe shoes and no jewelry.
