Job Title: Lab Technician

CONTRACT

This is a 3 month contract specific position as a technician on the team is expected to go out on maternity leave at the beginning of December. They are needing someone to start ASAP.

Job DescriptionOperate and monitor production and seed fermenter growthMonitor seed flask growthMaintain daily records of all cultures and mediaPerform routine sterility checks according to batch record standardsUtilize laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, pumps, and scalesHarvest bacterial culturesConduct in-process sampling at interval stages of growth productionPerform scale-up production of Leptospirae culturesPerform weekly cleaning of production roomsPerform pre and post-process cleaning of labsClean and disinfect lab equipmentSterilize fermentation equipmentPrepare and sterilize media for bacteria growthAssemble and sanitize concentration systemsUse hollow fiber concentration systemsClean and sanitize concentration systemsUse other filtration systemsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, Biotechnology or related field

Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50
