Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to operate and monitor production and seed fermenter growth. You will be responsible for maintaining daily records of cultures and media, performing routine sterility checks, and using laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, pumps, and scales. This role involves harvesting bacterial cultures, performing scale-up production of Leptospirae cultures, conducting in-process sampling, and ensuring cleanliness of production rooms and lab equipment.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor production and seed fermenter growthMonitor seed flask growthMaintain daily records of all cultures and mediaPerform routine sterility checks according to batch record standardsUtilize laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, pumps, and scalesHarvest bacterial culturesPerform scale-up production of Leptospirae culturesConduct in-process sampling at interval stages of growth productionPerform weekly cleaning of production roomsPerform pre and post process cleaning of labsClean and disinfect lab equipmentSterilize fermentation equipmentPrepare and sterilize media for bacteria growthAssemble and sanitize concentration systemsUse hollow fiber concentration systemsClean and sanitize concentration systemsUse other filtration systemsEssential SkillsKnowledge in Biology, Microbiology, Aseptic techniques, and FermentationExperience with laboratory equipment and proceduresStrong attention to detailAbility to work independentlyAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, or related biotechnology field preferredPrevious lab experience preferredExcellent organizational skillsProficient in oral and written communicationIntermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software, and E-mailAbility to troubleshoot errors and mechanical problemsAbility to perform aseptic hand filling operations and gown sterilelyPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50
