Job Title: Lab Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a part-time Lab Assistant to assist the Lab Manager with various lab related tasks. This position is perfect for someone currently pursuing a degree in the sciences and looking to gain hands-on lab experience. The role offers flexible hours, accommodating your schedule and classes.

ResponsibilitiesAssist the R&D Manager with product certification paperwork and vendor communication.Perform abrasion testing using lab equipment (training provided).Conduct cut resistance testing using specialized machines (training provided).Execute other required tests with the appropriate training on lab equipment.Input lab testing data and results into Excel spreadsheets.Help organize and separate samples, clean the lab, and perform other assigned lab duties.Monitor basic tests and analyze incoming products (dimensions, measurements, etc.).Assist the R&D Manager in maintaining product specifications.Essential SkillsExperience with lab equipment and procedures.Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in sciences such as Physics, Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry.Lab experience through coursework involving running, analyzing, or documenting test results.Strong knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & QualificationsAttention to detail in data input and analysis.Self-starter with the ability to follow instructions and work proactively.Work Environment

The position requires 15-20 hours per week with flexible scheduling during the first shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00
