Job Description
Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, HACCP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. “Food Safety and Quality” are the responsibilities of this position. A Quality Assurance Technician will provide assistance to the Quality Assurance Department with swabbing, coli form plating, calibrating, antibiotic testing, and various laboratory functions.
Essential Functions List of significant/essential duties, tasks and/or responsibilities required of this position.
+ Daily QA audit.
+ Monitor ponds.
+ Micro plating, WPN, CO2, and antibiotic confirmation testing.
+ Powder packaging seal checks.
+ Pull customer samples.
+ Clean and maintain clean lab areas.
+ Responsible for care and maintenance of company tools laboratory equipment.
+ Updating quality & procedure manuals, calibrations, wastewater reports, swabbing and air quality monitoring.
+ Follow all safety and working rules.
+ Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment.
+ Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality environment.
+ Excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.
Qualifications
+ Experience in quality assurance and microbiology, preferably in a food plant (milk).
+ Compliance and sample management skills.
+ Minimum of an LS degree or 5 years of lab/QA experience without a degree.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
