Actalent is currently hiring Laboratory Technician's in the Saint James, Louisiana, 70086, United States Job Description: + Conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests of solid materials, liquids, and gases. + Analyzes test data for quality control and establishing standards. + Sets up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, research or process control. + Tests and analyzes products to determine strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics. + Analyzes materials and substances, such as ores, minerals, gases, soil, water and pollutants. + Documents results of analyses via LIMS. + May prepare chemical solutions for use in processing materials, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree of Science with a major in Chemistry or minor in chemistry. + At least 6 months of post grad experience working in the laboratory settings. + Valid Driver’s license is required. + TWIC Card or Ability to obtain one on their own. + Open and flexible to work a lot of overtime hours. Additional Information: + Work Environment: Shift Work with Rotating Days and Nights, Weekend and Holidays. + Pay rate from $18 to $20 based on experience.
