Job Title: Lab Technician II
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lab Technician II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing a variety of lab equipment to process standard and non-standard products, performing various PCR protocols, and ensuring accurate product records. You will be working in a synthetic biology lab on a 3rd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 9 pm to 7:30 am.

ResponsibilitiesUse a variety of lab equipment, including thermal cyclers and liquid handling machines, to process standard and non-standard products.Perform a variety of PCR protocols and post-PCR cleanup steps.Demonstrate aseptic and sterile techniques to minimize the risk of contamination of products.Efficiently multitask while running multiple processes.Ensure accurate product records.Utilize customer software in a Windows-based environment.Quantify and sample products for quality control tests.Troubleshoot product, process, or equipment problems.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.Essential SkillsProficiency in PCR, DNA extraction, DNA sequencing, liquid handling, and gel electrophoresis.Experience with sterile techniques.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Biology or a related scientific field required OR an Associate's degree in science plus 2 years of PCR experience.Work Environment

You will be working in a synthetic biology lab on a 3rd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 9 pm to 7:30 am. The lab is equipped with advanced technology and equipment to support your work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.47 - $24.47
