Job Description
The lab technician will be responsible for all aspects of the wet lab, including the use of viscometers, thermo/balances, titrations, gel testing, and catalysts. The role requires a mathematical aptitude for formulation and batch mixtures. This position is within a production lab environment.
ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain viscometers, thermo/balances, and other lab equipment.Perform titrations, gel testing, and catalyst evaluations.Formulate and mix batches, ensuring accurate measurements and consistency.Maintain quality control standards and adhere to lab protocols.Utilize basic math formulas to manipulate solution percentages.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient lab operations.Essential SkillsProficiency in chemistry and quality control.Experience with titrations and viscometers.Basic understanding of mathematical formulas for solution manipulation.Attention to detail and accuracy in lab procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsSome college education or lab experience is beneficial.Wet lab experience is a plus but not required.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Work Environment
Training will be 2-3 weeks on first shift, Monday - Friday, 7am-3pm, with 1-on-1 training from the Lab Supervisor. The schedules are 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am. Flexibility to work any shift is required. Attendance and punctuality are highly valued, with a strict 12-point attendance system in place. The dress code is comfortable clothing, including jeans/khakis, tennis shoes/loafers, and business-appropriate shirts/t-shirts. Safety shoes are required, and safety goggles and lab coats will be provided. Due to the nature of the work, there are strong chemical smells similar to highly concentrated acetone, which employees typically acclimate to after a few weeks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.60 - $23.60
