Description
Tasks May Include: (Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate may expect)
•\tSet-up and run laboratory experiments
•\tAnalyze test specimens
•\tPerform tasks on projects relating to materials selection and corrosion testing and analysis. This includes experimental setup, data collection and data reporting.
•\tInspection, testing, repair, and installation of equipment.
•\tWorks in one or more areas of technical expertise to develop the capability of working independently on project activities while performing their work under supervision of the project investigator.
•\tAssists more experienced Technicians, Technologists and professionals on technical assignments.
•\tFollow the Safety, Health Environmental and Quality Assurance program on projects for which he/she is performing the work
•\tRecord research activities performed in lab book
•\tOther duties as assigned – i.e. solution preparation, cleaning test cells, moving items throughout the lab, calibrating equipment (following a prescribed procedure)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Chemistry experience or knowledge (From degree or work experience)
- Strong Mechanical aptitude (able to trouble shoot and utilize tools)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
