Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for understanding and following Quality System documents relevant to your responsibilities, such as the Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods. You will adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by ISO/IEC, government regulatory (cGMP, GLP), and company requirements relevant to your assigned duties. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to your analytical work, maintaining and assisting others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Responsibilities + Demonstrate proficiency in at least one core method and the ability to conduct at least one other assigned method with no more than 25% supervision. + Operate all required basic lab equipment within the department. + Set up batches of samples to weigh and weigh samples. + Perform timely and accurate analysis of samples to meet customer commitments, including preparing samples for analysis, using appropriate analysis methods and techniques, and applying appropriate data reduction. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Biology, Chemistry, and Laboratory techniques. + Experience with Wet Chemistry, Pipetting, HPLC, Quality Control, GMP, and Quality Assurance. + Understanding of Microbiology. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or other related scientific field is strongly preferred. + High School Diploma and previous lab experience are required if you do not have a Bachelor's degree. Work Environment The position involves very high-level, technical testing in a fast-paced production lab environment with roughly 7 labs conducting nutritional testing for various clients in numerous industries. You will be working in one of the following shifts: Water Soluble - Tuesday to Saturday 10 AM - 6:30 PM or 12 PM - 8:30 PM, and GC - Tuesday to Saturday (starting Monday night) or Sunday to Thursday (starting Saturday night) on 3rd shift 12 AM - 8:30 PM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $20.80 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
