Lab Technician

Job Description:

As a Lab Technician, you will be involved in a variety of testing procedures depending on the products being worked on. This includes property testing such as FTIR, Karl Fischer moisture content, tear/tensile strength testing, solubility testing, and analytical instrumentation (GC, LCMS, HPLC). You will also be responsible for analyzing and documenting data/results, equipment calibration, and attending R&D meetings. This role involves both bench and wet chemistry testing as well as analytical testing based on the product and project work assigned.

Responsibilities:

Conduct property testing including FTIR, Karl Fischer moisture content, tear/tensile strength testing, solubility testing, and analytical instrumentation (GC, LCMS, HPLC).Analyze and document data/results accurately.Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.Attend R&D meetings and collaborate with team members.Perform bench and wet chemistry testing.Work with a mentor who will designate types of tests and projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred; other STEM degrees will be considered with strong chemistry skills and interests.1-2 years of experience in related industries such as inks, coatings, paints, adhesives, or paper.Extensive knowledge of laboratory work and testing/projects.Strong interest in chemistry and related fields.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $26.00
